dave's 365 project

8/365 – Julie resting comfortably

Posted in Things by Dave on January 8, 2010

The only thing the kids wanted from Santa was American Girl Dolls. I’ve never seen them so obsessed with anything. They both researched every aspect of each doll. There are so many to chose from but she finally settled on Julie. She has since read her life story……if you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you don’t have little girls in your life.

Her first love was Wilbur, our dog. He’s a great dog but has taken a back seat recently. Well, today, I think he had enough and chewed Julie’s feet off. It was really sad and funny at the same time. She cried so hard, and was so mad. She didn’t know what to do. You could see the emotional turmoil boiling over.

It’s a good thing it was Wilbur that did it. Gawd help any other living organism that would have done this. Ultimately, she forgave him…..only Wilbur could have pulled that off. There must be a life lesson baked in here somewhere.

I’m off to Rite Aid to pick up some Super Glue.

  3. […] Day 35/365 – Wilbur’s new haircut 2010 February 4 by Dave Wilbur is a Cockapoo, which is a mix of Poodle and Cocker Spaniel. Poodles are very smart dogs and Cockers are known for being very friendly. Wilbur certainly got more of the friendly genes, and it wasn’t an even mix. See my Day 8 post for proof: here […]
