15/365 – long week

Posted in Things by Dave on January 15, 2010

Been waiting all week for this one. Not the picture, the drink. It’s been a long week.

We’re going camping this weekend so I’ll be offline but still taking pictures.

Technical info: This picture is deceptively easy to take. I was really sloppy with this one though. Put the subject on any reflective surface. In this case, it was a frying pan…..simply because it was near by and I was too lazy to look for something better. Fire a flash against a white background behind the glass. I used a posterboard from the kids school project. Done.  If you do it right, you can get some really neat reflections. I’ll eventually do another one of these in the 365 and do a better job.

thx fr posting tech info. i don’t know how to do that stuff. sometimes at work i need to take pics of vitamin bottles. i want white backgrnds (360 deg around item) but don’t know how to do that, and i have to work with zero flash equip’t.

you know u should self-publish yr 365 after u are done. there are two book publishers associated with amazon.com, that list the books automatically once published. it doesn’t cost all that much to self-publish either. i’m not sure, but i thinks it’s cheaper than some of those fancy lenses. 🙂 but srsly. (you are in the wrong job, my friend.)
