22/365 – El Nino

Posted in Things by Dave on January 22, 2010

The recent El Nino storms have been brutal this past week. The good news for fisherman in southern California is that these rains are a result of an El Nino weather pattern. This pattern occurs about every 7 years or so.

The pattern will push the warm ocean water from Mexico up to socal. The marlin, tuna, and dorado will follow the warm water so it should make for a great summer for local fishing!

This picture is a bronze trophy acquired during the last El Nino.
