Day 77 – Wavehouse

Posted in People, Places by Dave on March 20, 2010

I was down in San Diego for the last few days for work.  We went to a really neat restaurant/bar that is called the Wavehouse. This man-made wave is a mere 100 yards away from the real waves in the ocean. If the surf’s not up in the ocean, you can just grab a few man-made waves.

It’s an incredible place. It’s an outside restaurant/bar/surf spot all in one. I had a good sandwich, a “few” beers, and watched some great surfing. It’s a good thing I didn’t have a “few” more beers or I would have tried my luck on this thing.

Sounds like a amazing place, and great shot!
Definitely missing summer and enjoying your pics, you are a little closer to it than we are here.

You must not have had too many beers to get this sharp focus. What lens did you use for this shot?

Thanks. this was actually shot with my Canon G11 point and shoot. It’s a great camera.
