Day 97 – Munjack Beach

Posted in animals, Places by Dave on April 13, 2010

On Day 97, we took a boat out to a deserted cay called Munjack Cay. There was a rock formation just offshore where we all jumped off the boat and went snorkeling.

We eventually pulled the boat up to the beach where we would feed the sharks and sting rays. This cove was filled with reef sharks, sting rays, and turtles. We stood on the shore and threw a few scraps of the cleaned mahi-mahi we caught earlier into the water.  Minutes later, the sharks swam right up on shore to feed.  Click here to see a youtube video of what it looks like to feed the sharks from shore.  Really an amazing beach.

Oh man…. THAT’S what I’m talkin about! This is what I visualize when I try and remember my vacation in the Bahamas. Excellent tropical eye candy. 🙂
