Day 224 – North Star

Posted in Landscapes by Dave on August 16, 2010

We had a weekend getaway with some friends at Shadow Ridge in Palm Desert.

I had heard that there would be a lot of meteors flying around tonight so at about midnight, I went out to the golf course. There were plenty but not enough to photograph. Instead, I just went for a long 130 second exposure and was happy with how it turned out. Long exposures just seem to make any photograph more interesting to me.

This is awesome. I love the surreal aspect. It’s like a dream world.

Very nice! Great hues and I especially like how light comes down the sloping hills behind the trees.
